About Dr. Peters

My graduate level training was at Rosemead School of Psychology in La Mirada California. Post-graduate studies were done with Drs David and Jill Scharff at the International Institute for Object Relations Therapy in Bethesda Maryland. (www.iiort.org). The certificate program was two years in length and included exposure to several leading theorists and their work. I also have specialized training in Affective Neuroscience and Attachment Theory mostly through consultations and classes with Dan Siegel, Alan Schore, and Paul Renn. I completed a year-long certificate program specializing in treatment of psychological trauma from Bessel Van Der Kolk in Boston.

I was trained in California and has lived in Park City since 2002. I enjoy golf, Flyfishing and biking around Park City.

With 30+ years of experience as a psychologist, I offer more than just coping strategies—I offer a journey toward developing maturity and wisdom. You may come to therapy seeking relief from a specific problem, but my work helps you look at your life from a broader, more relational perspective. We’ll explore the patterns that shape your reality and relationships, understanding both their origins and their current impact. The goal is to move beyond seeing a “problem” to seeing a system you can influence and transform. This new understanding leads to deeper connection, healthier partnerships, and a more authentic, wiser self.
